Flux 1.1 Pro is known for its speed and photorealism. It generates images up to six times faster than its predecessor without sacrificing quality. It performs exceptionally well with strict prompt adherence, complex multi-subject scenes, and rendering legible text. It consistently ranks at the top of the Artificial Analysis image arena, making it highly effective for rapid storyboarding, marketing assets, and detailed conceptual art.

Flux 1.1 Pro was developed by Black Forest Labs and officially released on October 2, 2024. During its blind testing phase on the Artificial Analysis leaderboard, the model was famously benchmarked under the codename "blueberry" before its true identity was revealed.

It serves as the direct, faster upgrade to the original Flux 1.0 Pro. Shortly after its launch, Black Forest Labs introduced an "Ultra" variant capable of 4-megapixel resolutions, which is available as Flux 1.1 Ultra. Unlike older diffusion models that rely heavily on comma-separated keyword tags, Flux 1.1 Pro thrives on natural language.
